Community trademarks are registered in the EU Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) in Alicante, Spain.


Process before filing of application consists of the following phases:

1. INFORMATION AND CONSULTATION
- initial information, considering the possibility of trademark registration, professional advice and clarification of possibilities how to registrate the trademark
2. RESEARCH OF VALID SIMILAR AND INTERCHANGEABLE TRADEMARKS
- develop in-depth research of marks applicable to EU databases OHIM, WIPO and national databases
3. ANALYSIS OF DATABASE AND REGISTRATION POSSIBILITY
- development of the analysis and recommendation of research opportunities and ways of registration of a trademark associated with subsequent consultations - confirmation of the second mark (word, figurative, 3D) and the determination of the circuit classes
4. DRAWING CLASSES LIST
- elaboration of adequate basic list of 3 classes and additional classes (total of 45 classes) of goods and services, additional consultations to the list of classes and necessity of approval by the future owner of the community trademark
5. PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF A COMMUNITY TRADEMARK
- filing, monitoring of the registration process, communication with authorities and the applicant
6. INFORMATION ABOUT THE VALIDITY OF A COMMUNITY TRADE ARK
- will be sent by e-mail of issued CERTIFICATION of the community trademark

Period after date of validity of community trademark:

1. FOLLOWING MONITORING OF NEW APPLIED TRADEMARKS
2. VARIABLE CONSULTATION BY REQUEST OF OWNERS OF COMMUNITY TRADEMARKS
3. ESTIMATED EVALUATION OF COMMUNITY TRADEMARKS
4. PROLONGATION AFTER 10 YEARS FOR NEXT 10 YEARS
